Hey everyone, I am going to my first event tomorrow with osawaab and he will be letting me use his AUG. From my understanding, it is build as a sniper rifle and will have a scope on it as well. This is great, because I am in the process of getting a JG BAR-10 for my first airsoft gun. That being said, I have no gear and no ghillie suit. Does anyone have any tips for my situation? What is the most optimal way to use this weapon without having the advantage of camo? Any kind of help will be appreciated. I know this is somewhat of a "general new player help" thread, but I am tired of checking on this place daily and not seeing anything updated

Apple, you are allowed to "bump" a thread every 24 hours if we have not replied to it. Most likely we just didn't see it.
As for your question, wear as camouflage clothes as you have. Tan, brown, green, etc. I don't know if the AUG is set over the FPS limit, but you might not have to have a MED...
I just meant that this forum doesn't get that many posts in general but thank you. My friend actually might have an old ghillie suit for me to wear, so I'll probably wear that.

Its not over the fps limit, actually like 5 fps under it. It was my first airsoft gun, not the best in the world but it gets the job done. If all else fails he can use my jg g36

I would say a DMR role is in between sniping and standard rifleman, and you don't need to wear a ghilllie for it, just some camo that works really well in your environment.
Osawaab is the one!
BlackNightBravo is awesome,
Rondeb is cool,
Gunjack is sick,
intheshadows is "special" .
Where does that put me?

Apples: If you want to be effective as a sniper the most important thing to learn is patience.Move slowly, find good cover and learn your gun inside and out.Know it's range and power limits. You have but one shot and may face 30 or so rounds coming back from an automatic if you miss. The key to knowing your gun is practice, practice, practice you have to know how your gun will perform at any range as well as when to take the shot and when not to.I myself am not a sniper by nature, so patience is something I had to learn to do it effectively. I hope you had fun at your first event.
