To get better range and accuracy out of your airsoft rifle, there are a few options out there that you can do. From simple things like simply putting a higher quality
bucking and nub in your gun all the way up to installing a er hop. Each has there advantages and disadvantages, but if done correctly can give you great results.
flat hop: This is probably one of the easiest mods. Although its simple, it can be extremely effective if installed correctly. To do this mod you will need a razor, a good
bucking, and a flat nub. You must flip the bucking inside out and trim of the bump and ridge the are on the inside of the bucking. You then flip the bucking back the correct position. you then put the bucking on the barrel and with a smooth side over the hop up window. Install the hop up chamber and you are done. Simple as that. hee is a video on it. .
G-hop: This mod is the is a little harder than flat hop but is still pretty easy. It can potentially give you better results though. This mod has been called the "lazy mans R-Hop" For this mod you will need a razor, x2 bucking, and super glue. You will begin like the flat hop by removing the lumps and humps on the inside of your non contact bucking. Once that is done you will put it aside for now. You will then take your contact bucking and cut a piece that perfectly fits in the hop up window of your barrel. Once you have it perfectly sized, you will put a little super glue on one side of the hop up window. once you do that quickly, but correctly put the contact piece in the hop up window. Once that side dries, carefully put glue on the other side of the window. Let that sit for a day. come back after about 12 hours just to garuntee that the glue is dry. You then put the outer bucking you started with, on to the barrel, install the hop up chamber and its complete. Here is a video on it. .
R-hop: This is again increasingly harder. but if done right better results can occur. You will need a razor, a bucking , r hop patches, and glue. You will begin by measuring your hop up window in you barrel. Once that's done, cut the r hop patch to the correct size. You will realize that the patch is taller than the barrel its self. You will need to trim the feet on the patch until its flush with the barrel. You will then see that the bottom of the patch is sticking to far through the hop up window. You will need to trim the patch until its flush on the bottom. Once you have the patch trimmed to were you like it, "glue" on like you did the G-hop. you then trim the inside of you bucking put it on and install the barrel into the hop up chamber. Here is a video on it. .
ER-hop: This is the hardest of the mods. It requires you to cut the barrel and make the hop up window longer. You will need everything you needed for the r hop including a saw to cut the barrel. Once you cut the barrel to the length you want (be sure to not cut it to long) The only thing you do different then the r hop after this is you don't cut the patch. The advantage with this one over the r hop is you get more surface for the bb to touch. This makes your shots more consistent. Here is a install video.
These are the main 4 mods that people do. If anyone has anything to add feel free to!
