Well down the road him having a plane will help. But for now he insists on me learning on something less "nice" ( he has a Piper Commanche 250 full garmin stack, garmin 430 gps, and his instrument panel is extremely convenient.) He redid all the wiring and replaced eed the headliner as well as a bunch of other things too many to list... it took him two years.

On the right side the panel is electric ( fuel, oil pressure, battery voltage, mostly JPI instruments) and on the left he kept the it mostly steam gauges. The heading indicator, altitude indicator, vertical speed indicator, airspeed indicator, and such. Mostly new instruments but old technology. It is worth $79,000 now though. Cruising speed is 155kts true airspeed. I was with him once when we had a 65kt tailwind and we got up to 235kts ground speed... We were zippin.
He has gone up to 18,500 feet with oxygen and it is about the smoothest small plane I have been in. BNB is your family rich? you are talking about going to England and all.

Damn! Comanche's are pretty nice to begin with. And define rich. In my area, I would not be considered rich by any means. But on the wealth scale I believe we are upper middle class. If we moved to somewhere that wasn't so dang expensive to live, we would probably be "better off". And last year we didn't go anywhere but Philemont so...

Lets not let the forum die.... But the only way we can save it is to get the name out there at ops and such. I will be moving to tennesse sometime this december and am trying to convince my parents to buy a house in lebanon, which would be close to bad karma. Then if I get my act together and take time to shim my m4 and put it together, then get a decently put together loadout maybe I could help recruit if we host any ops.
