Dude. Just get inside the gearbox. Do some tuning for consistency's sake, maybe reshim and grease, and get out. It's not hard. I don't know why people are so scared of a gearbox. Yeah, I messed up my first time too but practice makes.....better.

I am running a two piece JG hop up with hot glue air seal mods and an r hop with an interesting nub that looks like a permanant h shaped epoxy nub. I am getting about 215 feet flat with 320 fps with .25g bbs and a 300mm barrel. What is the eraser nub, and how do I do it? HSAsays to use something soft with the r hop and right now my nub is about the hardest thing out there.

What about one of those rubber erasors tha you stick on the end of a pencil? I am going to try that but there are 25 mph winds with 50 mph gusts... so no range testing for a little bit.

Hmm... send me a pic of the "destroyed gboxs And if you want to, I could try to put them back together for you... (I don't know how that would work, but...)

Well, suck it up and open it up. The fact of the matter is you aren't going to get the consistency you want unless you open it up. Just ask for help if you so need it. Yes, sticking a small screw driver in the spring guide helps a lot in having parts not go everywhere. Make sure you have a firm grip on the gearbox too.

look I know the whole screwdriver deal, I have done it for all 3 gearboxes. I just don't want to take 130 bucks and throw it out the window because I think im capable of opening a gearbox.

Ok. Get out your "broken" gearboxes. I'm gonna get you to put them back together and take them apart again for practice. You can do this, you are just too timid.

Well, The only one I still have is the plastic v3 and in all honesty, Its just frustrating to look at. So I would rather just practice on my m14s gearbox considering its the one that I want built. I think im going to get magic box parts for it. But it will be awhile until I buy them. But could probably shim and regrease.

Ok, back on topic. I just installed the baton ryosoku flat hop in my m14. It took some modifying to get it to fit correctly but with time I got it to fit. Its to windy to test it at the moment but will give an update as soon as I can.

Alright well I will get to it when the time comes. I have a game coming up soon so I don't want to break it before then.
I just went out and shot My m14 with the modify flat hop. It was an amazing improvement im getting 190-200 feet shots with nothing but the flat hop. I was using elite force .25 gram bbs. And I had a range finder.
